Students complete 72 weeks of core and elective clinical clerkships at associated teaching hospitals, clinics, and medical centers across the United States (including ACGME-approved locations) and at select elective rotation sites in Canada.

Yes. SUSOM is accredited by the Accreditation Organization of the Netherlands and Flanders (NVAO), which is recognized by the World Federation of Medical Education (WFME). These standards have been officially deemed comparable to U.S. medical school accreditation standards by the U.S. Department of Education's NCFMEA.

In 2024, SUSOM students achieved an exceptional 98% first-time pass rate on both the USMLE Step 1 and the USMLE Step 2 CK examinations.

Graduates have achieved an outstanding 99% Three-Year Residency Placement Rate (spanning 2023–26). Graduates match into competitive residency programs throughout the United States and Canada and are fully eligible to practice independently in both countries once they fulfill standard national and regional licensing exams.
